  The Return to Freetown

March 7 - 16, 2027

Reconnect. Reflect. Reimagine. Recreate.

From white-sand beaches and glowing Atlantic sunsets to lush rainforests and rare birdlife, Sierra Leone’s natural beauty amplifies the depth of its living history.

This is more than a tour. It is a homecoming—a powerful ten-day journey through the history, culture, natural beauty, and future possibilities of Sierra Leone.

Join travelers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Nova Scotia, Jamaica, and Sierra Leone as we retrace the footsteps of freedom, honor the resilience of our ancestors, celebrate the cultures they created, and build new relationships across the African diaspora.  Participate in the first multicultural celebration of FREEDOM DAY.

From the historic streets of Freetown and the solemn ruins of Bunce Island to the villages of the Southern Province, the energy of Bo, and the shores of Mozza Beach, every day offers another opportunity to connect with the people, places, and stories of “Salone.”  Come home to the history. Stay for the culture. Help build what comes next.

This tour is a journey with a purpose! Every deposit helps fund projects that bring light, clean water, and educational and economic opportunity to historic Tasso Island, a community of more than 5,000 people.

At Fourah Bay College, a Business Exchange will bring diaspora professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, creatives, and community leaders together with Sierra Leonean partners. Explore opportunities in agriculture, tourism, technology, education, creative enterprise, and other sectors while building relationships that can continue long after the tour ends. The program will also feature Sierra Leonean fashion and design, demonstrating how culture and creativity can become engines of economic opportunity.  Review the itinerary and see the rich expanse of what awaits you!

Join us for a transformative trip with a lasting impact!
