Sierrafrica Diaspora Connect’s Global Webinar Series brings together leaders, scholars, entrepreneurs, community advocates, and members of the African diaspora for engaging conversations about Sierra Leone’s heritage, development, and future. Across five virtual sessions, participants will explore the cultural connections that unite Sierra Leone and its diaspora, the transformative potential of education and digital access, the links among agriculture, health, and traditional foodways, and emerging opportunities for investment and partnership.

Centering rice as both a staple and a cultural bridge, this session connects Sierra Leone’s Rice Coast heritage to the Gullah Geechee Lowcountry and asks how ancestral knowledge can help generate food security, local ownership, investment, and prosperity today.
